@gergy008 how long would it take you to make a cup? 1 sec? no? heh, didnt think so!

  • AdditiveTechnologies:

Cool video. Also, our channel is dedicated to educating individuals on all of the additive technologies as well. If you’d like to click AdditiveTechnologies to the left you can watch these machines and hear a narrator explain everything as well.

  • gergy008:

10 minutes to make a fucking cup?

  • yoelmfingassel:

@airsoftpaintkiller1 -you would have to engineer the thing, blueprints and all, then make the pieces one by one and then put it together ikea style. Considering that youre not gonna be using that much raw material i would say that pretty much the only cost is the time and effort put in to design

  • ramialt:

@DrKiIIem This is basically positive machining, adding material instead of removing it. I run a 5x Haas for a living and would love to use a 3d printer.

  • cyborgtroy:

@airsoftpaintkiller1 – But won’t it be a pain in the ass to write with a 10-inch pen?
I think maybe you’re making something else.

  • airsoftpaintkiller1:

how much would it cost if i wanted something made about 10 inch long 2 inch wide im making a all in on pen with a ruler compass for derection and math, flashlight, a 3 color pen a pencil stylus highlighter small razor like a box cutter a postit holder a laser pointer and a protracter all in one trust me its possible

  • team222badbrad:

@DrKiIIem Yes I was a machinist and quality inspector for several years.

  • DrKiIIem:

Ever heard of a CNC Milling Maching or a CNC lathe?

  • Time4TruthDOTorg:

This guy souns like little nicky… you know, Adam Sandler… Do some voice impressions for us!

  • ferretcarrots:

    how strong is the material?

  • CrossFeast:

  • team222badbrad:

I know what RepRap is but your video had nothing to do with my previous reply…

  • mechanicalbu11:

the goal of the RepRap is to give manufacturing to the masses and to harm globalism. if i can make a part for my car i don’t need to go to GM to get a replacement.

the RepRap has come a long way, it still has a long way to go but its a machine a common guy can make and use.

  • team222badbrad:

    What about it?

  • mechanicalbu11:

    check out the RepRap here:

    watch?v=gKc9cxBrsBY&feature=player_embedded

  • team222badbrad:

Yes. A reprap can be made cheaper, but I have yet to see any “homebrew” 3d printer make a part with any quality or accuracy comparable to that of commercial FDM machine. Also must of these kits do not have any means of supporting the part while printing overhangs.
